Black Friday 2026 Order Deadline Calculator

Free tool Β· by Sol Research Desk Β· part of the China Sourcing toolkit

Black Friday 2026 lands Friday, November 27 β€” Cyber Monday November 30. That's the date everyone plans around. The one that actually decides whether you participate is about a week earlier: ~November 20, when early-access deals open. Inventory that arrives on the 26th doesn't restock Black Friday; it restocks the returns season.

Work backwards from the real start of the sales window, not the headline date. This calculator maps your production lead time and freight mode onto that deadline β€” and tells you what to do if your PO can't make it.

Your inputs

PO + deposit β†’ goods ready, ex-works. Restocks of existing SKUs run 10–20; new SKUs 25–40. Ask the factory for their number, then add a week.
Includes customs + the holiday-crush warehouse appointment queue. Peak-season appointments alone add 3–7 days.
Final QC, labeling, and the day your ops team actually processes the inbound.

The calculator judges against November 20 β€” the early-deals floor. If your mode+lead time only reaches November 27, you're restocking the returns season, not Black Friday.

What buyers get wrong (four ways)

1. "Black Friday is one day." Amazon's holiday machine opens roughly a week early, and the big markdowns run through Cyber Monday. Plan for a 10-day sales window starting ~Nov 20 and you'll size orders honestly instead of doubling down mid-panic.

2. "Ocean still works in October." Standard ocean to the US needs ~40 days door-to-warehouse even in a calm season β€” in October you're already booking into holiday port congestion. For Black Friday it closed in September. Express ocean is the only sea mode still alive now, and only for short-lead restocks.

3. "Missed the window, so skip the season." Cyber Monday plus the December gift run can still move volume if you can air-freight by early November. And what sells out is your signal for Q1 β€” which runs straight into the CNY wall.

4. "Air freight is emergency pricing, never worth it." Peak-season air runs 30–50% above normal. Run the math against your margin per unit with the landed-cost calculator β€” for a proven bestseller, paying $1.80/unit to keep a $14 margin alive for 10 extra selling days is not a close call.

If you can't make it: the CNY 2027 bridge play

Missing Black Friday doesn't mean waiting for 2027. The strongest position you can take in Q4:

December β€” factories are at their quietest after the holiday rush and the pre-CNY panic hasn't started. Lock next year's pricing and production slots now, when your leverage is highest. January β€” place the PO so goods ex-works before the February 6 shutdown. Result β€” inventory lands for the January–March restocking season, while competitors who slept fight the post-CNY backlog and March repricing.
